Kai has his birthday right before the new year. David and I don't get him birthday gifts until his half birthday, but we still celebrate the day of his birth and he loved the attention and the gifts.

Christmas Wishes
I love staying home for Christmas. We were celebrating the first Christmas with TJ and we were so excited to have a nice family holiday. My parents came to visit the week before Christmas so we were lucky to have both sides of the family around at that time of year. I loved the nativity my parents gave the boys.
Christmas Eve Day we go bowling with the Fiso family and we had a great time this year.
Christmas morning Santa was very good to us and we had a great time opening up our gifts.
My favorite was spending time with the boys afterwards.
We went to church and remembered the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.
I am so grateful for the Savior Jesus Christ and for my family and the time we have together.

Thanksgiving Splits
Thanksgiving for the Fiso family was a little bit crazy. We were together for the actual holiday and traditional meal, but then we went separate ways for the extra long weekend. David had the chance to fulfill his dream of seeing his favorite college basketball team of all time play live. They played in Las Vegas and we were going to be only 4 hours away visiting my family in California. So he met up with the big Fiso family to attend the Vegas Invitational.
I decided that despite my love for the game, I would spend the weekend with my family and forgo the trip to Vegas. I am glad I stayed and spent time with my family. I went Black Friday shopping and we did a lot of swimming.
We had a lot of fun with grandparents and cousins.
David came back on Sunday and we stayed longer than the normal holiday weekend so he could test out the California snow at Big Bear. I was happy to spend another day with my family and the boys and I visited my parents at work.
Overall, despite the craziness and the splitting up for different activities, it was a great family vacation.

Enjoying Every Busy Day
Life is always busy, but there are times that seem extra busy. The past month has been that time for me, although this might just be due to the fact I have been feeling under the weather for about that amount of time. Turns out I had a sinus infection that didn't want to leave. I fear now that it has moved next door to David, but he is much better about fighting illness than I am, so hopefully his time of being under the weather will be short lived.
Despite how we might have been feeling we have tried to keep the boys happy and entertained. I think one reason it took me so long to get better was because I refused to slow down (until the last week or so when I was forced to sleep as much as possible). The good news is that David and I managed to have some fun family memories with our two awesome boys! Below are some pictures from a fun fall event here in Utah County. We took the boys to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point.
Yep. That's a pirate ship with a slide!
We tried to have Tai Jimmer get into the fun as much as possible...
Kai had a lot of gun playing on all of the fun activities available
Corn Maze time... Where do we go?
I don't think TJ would make a very good scarecrow, but David is trying :)
We had a great time!
This picture was to relive a year ago when we took the same one, Kai wanted to be the horse again, but he liked to look over at the cow.

Mom and the boys on a giant rocking chair
Besides going fun places we have also managed to just enjoy our every day together. Where ever we are, but usually at home. Following are some pictures of our silly boys at home...
We have also been able to enjoy the fall leaves...
I am amazed all the time how fast my boys are growing. Kai isn't really a toddler, but a little boy. He speaks in really good complete sentences and most of what he says he comes up with on his own. We have learned that we need to watch what we say around him however because he will repeat what he hears. For example "freakin heck" and "crap" have come out of his mouth voluntarily. Kai is also learning there are things mom doesn't like him to say.
Tai Jimmer is just a crazy busy baby. He is crawling everywhere and he is really fast! His favorite place to explore is the bathroom. He loves taking his baths and is always wandering in there when we forget to close the door. He is also pulling himself up and standing while holding onto objects. Some less stable than others and he has quite a collection of bumps and bruises to show for his adventures. He is on the bottle now and he loves to eat. He is really liking more and more solid food and we will see how that goes. Both boys are crazy, frustrating, adorable, lovable, mischievous terrors.

We do spend a lot of time with them, but mom "gets a break" when she goes to work (hahaha) Really, no matter how many times they make us want to pull our hair out, they always know how to tug on out heart strings.
